Masala Chai (Tea Bag)
Masala Chai (Tea Bag)
Originating from Kolkata, India. This tea blend is inspired by the traditional tea stalls in Kolkata. This tea is best enjoyed with honey, milk, ginger and black pepper.
Tea2you’s authentic Masala Chai is a perfectly balanced blend of the best freshly sourced Assam CTC tea (the base of the chai is extremely good as at Tea2you - the best Assam is chosen out of 300 types) and 100% natural spices, which include whole and ground cinnamon, cardamon and cloves. It has been improved over time based on decade-long experience of global customer satisfaction.
Originating in South Asia, the beverage has gained worldwide popularity, becoming a feature in many tea houses. The term "chai" originated from the Hindi-Urdu word "chai" which was derived from the Chinese word for tea, cha (see Etymology of Tea). In English, this spiced tea is commonly referred to as masala chai or simply chai, even though the term refers to tea in general in the original language. Numerous coffee houses use the term chai latte or chai tea latte to indicate that it is made with steamed milk, much like that is used to make a caffe latte, but mixed with a spiced tea concentrate instead of espresso.
