2025 saw lots of very exciting changes for Tea2you. We introduced several new teas, including our Ceremonial Matcha, and our website got a little freshen up to help our customers search more easily. At our Bermondsey store we’ve even built a new room! This is going to be used as private space for our Matcha and Tea Tasting Experiences.
We’re very proud of our company and this year, as we know you’re just as excited about tea as we are, we decided to share our news and Tea2you updates with our wonderful customers.
Tea Tourism
This month, the team has gone to visit the Tea Gardens in Darjeeling. This happens each year for us to check in with the tea gardens and for Ratan to taste the new crop.
Ratan has chosen this year's 1st Flush Darjeeling. The '1st Flush' refers to the harvest. These leaves are very young, giving the tea a gentle and fresh flavour. Ratan has to go out each year, as each year the crop is different. Weather and location determine the flavour. No two gardens are the same.
This year is very special as we’re bringing you along with us. The tour travels from the bustling city of Kolkata to the peaceful gardens in Darjeeling, located at the foothills of the Himalayas. You'll be able to see where the tea comes from, and the journey each leaf makes.
Tea Tasting Experience
We have been busy at our 'Tea School' in our Bermondsey store, with many new pupils joining us at the weekends. The team at Tea2you have been really enjoying sharing our love and knowledge of tea with others.
Those that have been to our Bermondsey Store recently may have seen the building works we have had in our store. These have been completed and we now have a new room specially for our Tea School. A lot of love has gone into our little room and it's a cosy space for Tea Tasting Experiences and events.
We offer three types of Experiences: a Classic Tasting, a Health Tea Tasting, and a Matcha Making Class. We welcome anyone who wants to learn about tea into our shop. If you and your family or friends want to do something different together, or you want to blend some tea into your corporate event, we're happy to host you.
